I am a pianist and teacher based in New York City. My performance experience
includes solo piano, piano with orchestra, chamber music of all sorts and
collaboration with singers. I have always enjoyed working with composers and
playing their works. A serious injury in 2001 kept me off stage for a number
of years but also taught me more than I could ever have imagined about the
mind/body connection and healing of all kinds.
Performing is now for me an even deeper and
more satisfying experience than it was before. In my
teaching, I promote musical excellence
through solid musicianship, good posture and healthy technique, and personal
growth and creativity. I believe inclusiveness and a sense of generosity and
openness are crucial for the continued evolution of our great art of playing
the piano.
